During my teenage years, my father gave me a Stanfield long underwear to wear during the cold months of winter. I never really appreciate it until I finally decided to wear them when the temperature dipped to -30C.
I finally realized what it takes early in my life because of my father! Layering is the key! I have used many other brands of thermal underwear but from experience nothing beats Stanfield’s quality, comfort & craftsmanship.
Here’s my most recommended items to wear if you want to stay warm in winter!
This is by far my favorite long john for fridgid weather. Those are ideal if you want to keep warm on a regular basis. I wear those each time for work and any outdoor trips I do. Stanfield’s men’s merino wool blend two layer pant are composed of Outer layer 50% merino wool 50% polyester, inner layer 50% cotton 50% polyester. The key here is to have merino wool as a baselayer!
An innovative blend of fibres produces a unique fabric that creates a thermal effect for excellent warmth retention. For any sport activity, you will need something more breathable. This set is ideal if you plan to ski, perform activities or running when it’s cold outside. However, I do not recommend this for casual wearing as they tend to feel the cold when you’re not active. By that I mean, you won’t be cold but only the feeling of the cold due for it being breathable.
If you’re on a budget, these thermal underwear long john offer a great value! Crafted with insulating air pockets to keep you warm, dry, and comfortable, these lightweight cotton blend pull on thermal bottoms are ideal for moderate to very cold weather.
