So my Seiko obsession continues after my purchase of the Cocktail Time SRPB47. I now have in my possession the Legendary Seiko SARB033!
This watch is now discontinued but you can still find them new on ebay and Amazon if not, then you will have to go to the source, Japan. My came directly from Japan and if you’re considering getting one, do it fast because the price on these are slowly creeping up.
Let get the technical stuff out of the way. This watch has a mechanical movement 6R15D, which is the latest revision and considered to be a higher quality movement then it’s little bother, the 4R35. Case diameter is 38mm, Lug-to-Lug is 40mm and 12mm thick.
It has hacking, manual winding, quickset and 50 hrs power reserve. It also come with sapphire crystal, which is surprising for a seiko watch. It’s case has a combination of brushed and polished stainless steel, the dial is a deep black with polished hour markers that have a very small lume points and finally a date window in the 3 o’clock position.
Now, since I ordered this watch, I decided to sell my Seiko SRPB47, WHY? Because I also ordered a SARB065 and a SRPB41 Cocktail time with Blue Dial.
The SARB033 is a serious value watch, An Affordable, Classy & Extremely High Quality Japanese Watch. You can practically compare it to a Grand Seiko or even a Rolex, that’s how good it is! It reminds me of the Datejust Rolex that I used to own back in 2016.
It’s versatile and can be worn with anything, whether you want to wear it with a suit or a tank top and shorts, it just works! Also, you can add different style of straps making it even more compatible to any crazy wardrobe you have.
Overall, this watch will remain in my collection for a very long time. The quality, the build, the movement, the style are all A+. And what’s more appealing, the value of this watch will keep increasing with time as they are now discontinued. If I was you, I’d grab one before it too late!
